Promoted to Senior Software Engineer, leading development of payment microservices on Global PayPlus (GPP). Owning the full lifecycle of new services — from design and development through containerisation and cloud deployment. Working across the stack with Spring Boot, Docker, and Kubernetes, with CI/CD pipelines running on Azure and Helm charts managing production releases.
Joined Finastra directly, driving the modernisation of Global PayPlus — one of the world's leading core banking payments platforms. Led development on the Fedwire ISO 20022 migration, enabling GPP to support the new global messaging standard. Built microservices at the heart of high-value payment flows, processing critical transactions for banks worldwide.
First engineering role out of college. Worked on the Finastra GPP product — a core banking payments platform — gaining deep expertise in global payment flows and clearing systems. Became a go-to engineer for payment defects and industry-driven feature changes across FED, TARGET2, CHIPS, EURO1, NPP, and NAPAS. Delivered MT-MX industry changes and earned multiple awards for impact during this time.
